He advises buyers, sellers, trading houses, shipowners, charterers, brokers, agents and protection and indemnity clubs on a broad range of contentious and noncontentious commercial matters.

This includes arbitration and court proceedings relating to commodities, wet and dry shipping disputes. His professional experience also includes contractual drafting, advisory and negotiation as well as urgent enquiries, concerning sanctions, contractual default, ship arrests, injunctions, incidents, enforcement and other matters.

Monty previously spent over a year on secondment at a major trading house in London. He has worked in Hong Kong and Mumbai.
