Aly Bond is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group based in the Columbus office, where she focuses on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate governance and commercial transactions. Aly takes a proactive, results-oriented approach to her work, consistently aligning her efforts with her clients’ business goals.
Prior to joining the firm, Aly worked as a legal extern at numerous sites, including the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, the chambers of the Honorable Michael H. Watson, US district judge for the Southern District of Ohio, and in the chambers of Michael P. Donnelly, justice for the Supreme Court of Ohio. While serving in these positions, she gained valuable research and legal writing experience. Aly also served as a law honors intern in the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Federal Aviation Administration, combining her legal training with her love of aviation. During law school, Aly excelled not only in academics but also honed her leadership skills as a managing editor for the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution, as a senator on the Ohio State Inter-Professional Council, and as a student board member on the University Conduct Board. She also volunteered in the law school’s Immigration Clinic and worked as a research assistant. Aly graduated with two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in criminal law and trial practice and was recognized as a public service fellow with Dean’s Special Recognition.
Before attending law school, Aly worked as a certified flight instructor and competed with The Ohio State University Flight Team. Both experiences, while aviation-related, equipped her with qualities that directly benefit her clients, including the ability to make decisions under pressure, facilitate effective group communication and assess risks, all of which add value to every client relationship.
