Oliver Bristow is an associate in our Environmental, Safety & Health Practice based in our Manchester and Birmingham offices. He advises multinational clients on a broad range of environmental, health and safety, product compliance (including food products), and operator licensing laws across multiple jurisdictions. He has a particular specialism in fire and building safety laws in the UK. Oliver also advises on large energy and real estate transactions with environmental and health and safety considerations, as well as corporate transactions – in relation to which he also advises on anti-bribery and anticorruption, and anti-modern-slavery. Oliver has particular interests in environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, fire and building safety, sustainability, producer responsibility, recycling and operator licensing matters.
Oliver also defends companies and individuals facing criminal, health and safety, operator licensing and other regulatory investigations, prosecutions and inquiries. He also assists companies involved in coronial proceedings. Oliver has an extensive and varied background in regulatory law and has acted in both a defence and prosecution capacity.
Oliver has been recognised by The Legal 500 UK. He is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) and sits on its northern committee. He is also a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association (HSLA).
