Gerald specialises in non-contentious aspects of engineering and construction dealing with energy and infrastructure, civil engineering and development projects. He advises on project procurement and provides advice in relation to standard and bespoke forms of contract, such as JCT, NEC and FIDIC together with consultant appointments, collateral warranties, performance bonds and parent company guarantees. Over the last 5 years, Gerald has acted for institutional lenders, developers, contractors and consultants. Gerald previously worked as an in-house lawyer for a leading Irish M&E contractor providing services in the utilities sector, which has helped him gain a commercial perspective on disputes and negotiations. Gerald trained and qualified in the Republic of Ireland in 2011 and has subsequently obtained dual qualification as a Solicitor in England in Wales in 2016.
