Tess Chaffee is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group, based in our Phoenix office.

While earning her law degree, Tess served as an articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review and externed for the Honorable Judge Susan J. Dlott in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for torts, contracts, legal research and writing, criminal procedure I and II and federal courts, as well as the Gustavus Henry Wald Memorial Contracts Prize, the Ernest Karam Book Award for Academic Excellence and the Norbert Heinsheimer Essay Prize for Best Law Review Comment. During this time, Tess successfully argued for the reversal of a four-point sentencing enhancement in front of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, achieving a unanimous, published decision.
