Bahar Charyyeva is a member of the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Her practice focuses on representing states and state-owned entities in investor-state and commercial arbitration cases under the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules. She has been involved in successfully handling disputes in the construction, telecommunications, agriculture, energy and mining industries for more than 13 years.
A native of Turkmenistan, Bahar is fluent in Turkmen, Russian and English, and has an educational and professional background in both civil and common law systems. Her prior experience includes work in the judiciary of Turkmenistan, as well as the oil and gas industry, including implementation of a production sharing agreement and negotiations and execution of a gas sales agreement.
