Eva Cibulková’s practice focuses primarily on international dispute resolution. On an ongoing basis, Eva advises clients in proceedings before arbitration tribunals in investment arbitration cases under ICSID and UNCITRAL rules.

    Eva also specializes in corporate law. She advises clients on all aspects of general corporate matters as well as on wide range of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, including conducting related due diligence comprising financing, environmental and corporate issues. 

    She also participates in pro bono legal services for Nadácia zastavme korupciu (the Stop Corruption Foundation).

    • Advising the Slovak Republic in a pending ICSID investment arbitration against a US and a Canadian company regarding cancellation of mining rights (ICSID Case No. ARB/14/14).
    • Advising the Republic of Croatia in a pending dispute against MOL Oil & Gas Company involving two multibillion dollar arbitrations before ICSID and an UNCITRAL tribunal arising under the Energy Charter Treaty and agreements governed by Croatian law (ICSID Case No. 13/32; PCA Case No. 2014-15)
    • Advising a club of Slovak banks coordinated by major Slovak bank Ceskoslovenska banka, a.s. a subsidiary of KBC Bank NV, in connection with a €200 million multi-currency club revolving credit facility. Legal services further involved assistance during the negotiations and signing of the multi-currency club revolving credit facility.
    • Representing the German branch of a major Japanese bank regarding the enforceability of trade receivables purchases, onward sale agreements and related receivables against a Slovak manufacturer of automobiles in the Slovak Republic.
    • Advising a Czech diversified holding company in connection with the acquisition of a food processing group worth over US$300 million.
    • Advising a global marketing research company on its acquisition of the Central European operation of a leading Czech market research company.
    • Representing TESCO STORES SR, a.s., a major international retailer, on a number of greenfield and brownfield freehold and leasehold acquisitions in various Slovak cities for retail and warehousing purposes.
    • Advising Bonar Geosynthetics, a.s., the Slovak subsidiary of Low&Bonar PLC, a UK-based integrated provider of solutions for civil engineering projects, on real estate, environmental, energy, IP and data protection matters.
    • Advising Visteon Corporation, a leading global automotive supplier, in connection with worldwide sale of its global interiors business to its  joint venture partner including  conducting due diligence on environmental matters.
    • Advising a local financial intermediation provider on regulatory and contractual issues arising from providing personal data to affiliates and further processing this data, as well as preparing relevant documentation and consents.
