George Devine is an associate in the Construction & Engineering team. He has advised a broad range of clients on construction and engineering matters, including developers, landlords, tenants, financial institutions, local and national government bodies, pension funds, contractors and consultants.

George has experience with the major forms of construction and engineering contracts, including the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) and New Engineering Contract (NEC) suites, as well as dealing with the preparation and negotiation of bespoke contracts.

George handles a wide range of construction contracts, including building contracts, pre-construction agreements, vesting agreements, development management agreements, professional appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements, parent company guarantees and performance bonds. He also advises on construction matters relating to real estate transactions, corporate acquisitions and disposals, as well as financing deals.

George is experienced in a wide variety of sectors, including manufacturing, industrial and logistics, healthcare, defence and aerospace, student accommodation, offices, residential and hospitality.

  • Advising a global manufacturing client on a range of upgrade works across its facilities, including both design and build and construction management procurement.

  • Advising an NHS trust on the demolition, relocation and development of a new hospital in the North East of England.
