Marcus Edwards is an associate in the Corporate Practice, assisting on mergers and acquisitions, as well as providing general corporate advisory and company secretarial services. Marcus works with clients from a range of industries, including automotive, transport and logistics, and resources.

    Marcus has experience in advising on commercial litigation matters. His experience includes drafting court documents (statements of claim and affidavits) and managing the discovery process in relation to debt recovery matters and corporate governance disputes before the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts in multiple Australian jurisdictions.

    • Drafting shareholders agreements and non-disclosure agreements, as well as company resolutions, in relation to prospective takeovers, board meetings and AGMs.
    • Providing general corporate advisory services to one of Australia’s largest automotive dealers on a secondment basis, including advising on intellectual property matters, commercial contracts and dealership licensing and branding agreements.
    • Assisting with drafting the sale documentation and completion checklists in relation to the AU$100 million acquisition of a family-owned bus transport, charter and tour company by Australia’s largest ASX-listed integrated transport provider.
    • Assisting with drafting the sale documentation and completion checklists in relation to the AU$80 million acquisition of a specialist mining services company to a TSX-listed drilling services company.
    • Advising an Australian entity on a cross-border iron ore acquisition, supported by international consortium funding.
