Andrew is an associate in the Public & Infrastructure Finance Practice Group. His practice has focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and project finance transactions, with an emphasis on major energy capital projects. While seconded to a major Japanese trading company, he advised the client on the development of the largest energy-from-waste project in the Middle East and he managed the development of multiple major energy projects in Southeast Asia. With respect to project finance, Andrew has advised sponsors in connection with energy, oil and gas, and mining projects in a variety of global regions.
Andrew also has experience at all stages of litigation in suits both for and against private individuals, large corporations and government agencies. He has experience managing cases from filing to resolution through effective use of discovery procedures, motions and negotiations with opposing counsel. He has provided value to clients in products liability, healthcare, trademark, regulatory compliance, white collar, shareholder inspection defense and general business litigation matters. Specifically, on behalf of a major Japanese trading company, he managed disputes over multiple sea liner warranties, light rail construction warranties, supply contract disputes, due payments from private and government partners, and potential breaches of contract over a medical supply contract and an indemnification clause. He actively participated in an international arbitration regarding a disputed tariff, a US federal court litigation regarding a contract dispute and a US state court litigation regarding a wrongful death claim.
