Joshua Fitzpatrick is a senior associate in the London corporate team and regularly advises investors, high-growth companies and founders in connection with venture capital and private equity financings, and M&A transactions.

    While Joshua advises clients across a range of sectors, he has a particular focus on financial services and fintech businesses.

    His in-depth knowledge of the global fintech sector comes from unique experience of two major jurisdictions – Joshua trained at the firm in Sydney, Australia and has extensive experience advising emerging technology companies and their investors on angel, venture and other strategic financings in both Australia and the UK.

    • Advising Giant Group plc on the its acquisition of a recruitment software business and an invoice financing business.
    • Advising Bibby Group on the sale of its Australian subsidiary, Bibby Financial Services Australia, to Scottish Pacific for AU$120 million.
    • Acting for Fresenius Kabi Australia on the sale of its oncology compounding business to Slade Heath.
    • Acting for Nasdaq listed Lincoln Electric on its acquisition of Specialised Welding Products.
    • Acting for GB Group (an AIM listed company) on its AU$34 million acquisition of DecTech Solutions, a provider of credit risk and fraud detection software solutions.
    • Acting for Telstra Ventures in relation to a US$19 million Series B financing of the Singapore mobile advertising platform AdNear Pte Ltd.
    • Acting for Southern Cross Venture Capital Partners as the lead investor in a Series A venture financing of BigTinCan, a mobile enterprise software provider.
    • Advising online education provider Edrolo in relation to an AU$2.65 million Series A financing involving leading technology investors Blackbird Ventures and AirTree Ventures.
    • Representing Precise Light Surgical in the negotiation of a Series A investment with technology investors, Southern Cross Venture Partners and Softbank China.
    • Acting for Telstra Corporation in relation to the formation and establishment of its technology incubator, muruD, in Australia and Singapore.
    • Representing Frontier Ventures in its role as the lead investor in the AU$4.1 million Series A financing of Expert360, a disruptive online consulting business.
