Antonio García’s focus is on how he can best support clients in their queries, while navigating a heavily regulated environment.
Antonio often guides clients through equality/discrimination and social security issues, mainly in the day-to-day aspects of the employment life cycle, including providing advice around recruitment and managing employee performance and conduct issues; advising on post-contractual covenants, on remuneration and compensation systems, and managing the registration of foreign entities before social security and other public authorities in order to act as an employer in Spain; drafting of policies; advising on redundancies, including collective redundancies; drafting collective agreements; drafting and reviewing employment agreements; solving employment data protection issues; conducting workplace investigations; and advising on disciplinary terminations.
He has a particular interest in employment and equality-/discrimination-related issues and enjoys providing support to the Corporate team, providing advice on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and, particularly, auditing companies within the due diligence process and preparing the corresponding senior managers contracts.
Antonio regularly represents clients in courts and tribunals, including the employment courts, the high courts and the Supreme Court.
Antonio’s practical advice is valued by HR teams within multinational corporations of the tech/IT industry and the industrial sector in general, the chemical industry, transportation (airlines), the insurance industry, the media (press and television), advertising, retail and the services sector.
