Scott Gardner is an associate in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice focusing on patents, with emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He has significant experience working with complex software solutions, artificial intelligence and machine learning, radar and radio communications, tactical data links, robotics and passive signal detection.

He is a retired member of the US military with more than 20 years of service in the US Navy. While on active duty, Scott served as a nuclear reactor operator and a Naval Flight Officer on the E-2C “Hawkeye” airborne command and control aircraft.

Prior to joining the firm, Scott was a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), examining patents in the artificial intelligence, software and computer science areas.
