Eddy Goldsmith is an experienced corporate lawyer who advises on a range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint venture arrangements, capital raisings, funds establishment and commercial contracting, as well as providing general corporate advisory services.

Eddy has worked with clients from a range of industries, including energy and resources, tech sector, infrastructure and transport, financial services, private equity and real estate. He advises publicly listed companies, private businesses and government entities.

Eddy first qualified in the UK and then in Australia, and practised at other Australian, UK and multinational law firms prior to joining our firm.

  • Advising a London Stock Exchange-listed environmental and engineering consultancy on its acquisition of an Australian water and natural resources consultancy.
  • Advising a Southeast Asia-based private equity firm on its acquisition of an investment company focused on the software and technology sector.
  • Advising a medical technology company on various acquisitions in the health sector.
  • Advising an Australian Securities Exchange (ASX)-listed investment and wealth management firm on the sale of its financial advice business to a provider of lending services.

Commercial Contracting and Advisory

  • Undertaking a six-month secondment with a metropolitan rail network operator to advise on a range of contract management, maintenance, operations and procurement matters, including:
    • Advising on issues arising under its long-term maintenance and logistics supplies contract for a part of its passenger rail fleet
    • Negotiating a contract for the provision of customer experience information from a consortium comprising a supplier of customer survey services and a provider of a database analytics product
  • Advising a medical device company on a manufacturing agreement for the production of its proprietary equipment.
  • Advising a hotel operator on a tender to provide hotel quarantine services, and on a tender to operate a purpose-built quarantine facility.
  • Advising a renewable energy company on its windfarm supply-and-maintenance agreements.
  • Advising the operator of a major oil and gas project in Central Asia on a range of matters, including:
    • Advising on rights under the production sharing agreement involving the relevant national government
    • Advising on rights under the joint operating agreement
    • Negotiating and drafting long-term gas sale agreements for the project and capacity rights under an international petroleum pipeline agreement
    • Advising on contractual approvals, contractual compliance, environmental matters and unlicensed gas flaring as part of annual cost recovery audits
