Jennifer Greengrass is an experienced senior associate, specialising in international and local shipping, trade and commodity finance.

Within the shipping sector, Jennifer advises shipping companies, financiers and shipyards on ship finance transactions, sale and purchase agreements, and build contracts.

Within the commodity and trade sector, Jennifer advises banks, other financiers and corporates on finance structures and specialist products.

Jennifer is based in London and has previously undertaken secondments in our Dubai office and in Athens.

Jennifer is a published author of legal articles in iLaw, Mondaq and other industry publications, as well as being a committee member of the ICC Young Professionals Committee.

  • Advising a liquefied natural gas maritime transportation company on a US$1.5 billion sale and leaseback financing.
  • Advising a London investment bank on its US$6 million financing of a bulk carrier.
  • Advising a cruise expedition specialist in respect of a US$20 million financing and subsequent US$40 million sale and purchase.
  • Advising a large European dry bulk shipowner and ship operator in respect of a US$200 million loan restructuring.
  • Advising a large Chinese bank regarding a US$120 million limited recourse prepayment facility for the purchase of petroleum products.
  • Advising an international industrial and metals business regarding a US$25 million secured term loan financing and a US$20 million uncommitted revolving stock finance facility.
  • Carrying out a 12-month remote secondment with a large French international bank.
