Roy Grist is a partner in our Financial Services Practice Group in our Birmingham office.

    Roy joined us in December 2010. He has extensive experience in advising lenders and borrowers on a broad mix of national and international corporate banking transactions, including acquisition finance, property and development finance, asset based finance, restructurings and joint venture funding

    • Advising one of the UK’s largest consumer co-operatives on various financings including a £60 million refinance with a three bank club.
    • Advising Lloyds Bank Plc in connection with a £82.8 million refinancing by I M Properties of a significant portion of its UK property portfolio.
    • Advising JD Sports on funding in connection with its acquisition of Cloggs out of administration.
    • Advising a leading emerging markets private equity fund on the mezzanine financing of a pan-European chemicals group.
    • Advising one of the UK’s largest building societies in relation to a £20 million contingent asset structure including mortgage backed notes.
