Randolph Gustafson has a general transactional practice with an emphasis on real estate, construction, finance and energy industry matters. His practice focuses on the representation of US, Asian and European investors, developers, contractors and lenders in the acquisition, financing, development, leasing and disposition of commercial and industrial projects and properties in the United States.

Randy’s practice encompasses purchase and sale transactions for industrial facilities, office buildings, hotels, golf courses and other projects; commercial, industrial, residential and retail leases; environmental investigation and remediation; management agreements; brokerage agreements; loan agreements; contractor licensing; liquor licensing and transfer; and design, engineering and construction contracts. He has substantial experience in the structuring, negotiation, implementation and dissolution of development joint ventures. He also has substantial experience in the petroleum industry, including the acquisition, financing and disposition of oil refineries and the negotiation and documentation of crude oil supply agreements, processing agreements, hedge agreements and other refinery operating and financing agreements.

Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Randy was counsel for Fluor Corporation, one of the largest US engineering and construction companies. He was responsible for the negotiation, documentation and implementation of engineering, procurement and construction contracts and subcontracts for energy projects and a wide variety of other industrial and commercial construction projects in the United States, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.
