Russ is a partner in our Restructuring & Insolvency Group based in our Birmingham office. Russ specialises in all aspects of banking and restructuring work including both contentious and non-contentious insolvency acting for banks, asset based lenders, insolvency practitioners, corporates and other key stakeholders.
Russ has significant experience of all aspects of distressed lending, accelerated corporate disposals, restructuring and security reviews.
Russ has completed secondments to Royal Bank of Scotland plc and Nationwide Building Society.

- Advising KPMG as administrators on the sale of an AIM-listed specialist engineering business.
- Advising the board of an IT outsourcing solutions business, with an annual turnover of £50 million, on directors’ duties and wrongful and fraudulent trading risks.
- Advising administrators on the administration trading and disposal of a national bar and restaurants chain.
- Advising a major clearing bank on the restructure and refinance of a Premier League football club.
- Russ has also advised on a number of confidential solvent restructurings and refinancing for major clearing bank clients.
