Bindu Janardhanan is internationally recognised as a leading product liability lawyer in the Asia Pacific region. She has more than 12 years of experience in the defence of product liability claims in the region. While leading the Asia Pacific team on product liability matters, Bindu has advised clients on how to prevent product liability claims and defend high-risk cases. Bindu primarily focuses on automotive product liability, advising manufacturing companies, particularly in the automotive sector, on regulatory requirements, international expert witnesses, advertising issues, product recalls and hazards alerts, data compliance, intellectual property, and litigation and non-litigation mandates. She has a wealth of negotiating experience and skills, especially in product liability. Bindu participates in various seminars and publishes materials on different international platforms in product liability matters.

Apart from product liability, Bindu is involved in complex commercial disputes, whether in litigation, arbitration or other forms of dispute resolution. She also advises and acts for clients in insolvency proceedings, global product liability litigations, constitutional and administrative law litigations, proceedings related to penal laws, white collar crimes and corporate and forensic investigations. In addition, Bindu has significant experience in banking, finance and intellectual property matters in Hong Kong and India. She has advised financial institutions and other companies on their documentation in various sectors in Asia. She has extensive knowledge of the Asian markets and has built an excellent network with leading overseas law firms, banks and investment houses.

Bindu is an active member of the Asian legal and business communities. Her international background, knowledge of many Indian languages, impeccable interpersonal skills and understanding of foreign cultures and business practices combined with hands-on litigation acumen uniquely qualifies her to advise and defend multinational companies. Bindu recently acquired a master's degree in financial law from a prestigious global university. In addition to her legal qualifications, she holds a master's degree in business administration (with honours) from a prestigious business school in India. Bindu also teaches product liability law and alternative dispute resolution on the guest faculty in a leading law school in India.
