Layla Khalid is an associate in the Labor & Employment Practice Group based in the Columbus office. Her practice encompasses a wide variety of labor and employment matters confronting employers, including litigation related to restrictive covenants and wrongful termination, conducting workplace investigations and providing counseling to multi-state companies to ensure their policies and practices are compliant with federal, state and local employment laws.
Prior to joining the firm, Layla was an editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law and worked with clients in the Legal Aid Justice Center Immigration Clinic and UVA Law International Human Rights Law Clinic. She also was a summer legal intern at the Federal Public Defender Office for the Western District of Virginia.
