Nicholas Levenhagen is a litigation lawyer specializing in high-stakes healthcare disputes. He has experience litigating a variety of complex matters, including issues involving provider reimbursement, medical necessity determinations, durable medical equipment policies, unfair competition laws, elder abuse and disability discrimination claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Nicholas was lead senior counsel with a California state agency, leading investigations of healthcare entities and conducting other market oversight activities. He previously served as litigation counsel for the healthcare practice of a large nonprofit agency, representing consumers in federal and state class actions, as well as writ proceedings challenging state and county health coverage policies. In this role, Nicholas also advised California state agencies on a range of healthcare policy guidance and agreements, including All Plan Letters, All County Letters and Managed Care Plan Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
After graduating from Boston University School of Law, Nicholas began his career by representing Holocaust survivors in health, housing and other matters at an esteemed nonprofit law firm in Los Angeles, California.
