Benjamin Marché is a partner in the Financial Services Practice.
Benjamin has French domestic as well as international experience in acquisition leverage financing, acting for both financing providers (senior or subordinated) and sponsors and borrowers. In addition to other general banking matters, he has been involved in restructuring and infrastructure finance transactions.
- Advising the banks in connection with Loxam’s €350 million notes offering.
- Advising Dutscher Group on the successive acquisitions of Labochema and AH diagnostics.
- Advising the lenders in connection with the senior financing in support of the €3.1 billion public to private acquisition of Iliad Group by Xavier Niel, the founder and current controlling shareholder of the group.
- Advising King Street Capital Management on the restructuring and sale of the Ligue 1 Football Club Girondins de Bordeaux by way of an ad hoc mandate and conciliation proceeding.
- Advising the banks in connection with Loxam’s €345 million five-year senior secured revolving credit facility.
- Advising BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Coöperatieve Rabobank, Crédit Industriel et Commercial, Natixis, Société Générale, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria and Mediobanca – Banca di Credito Finanziario in connection with Elior Group’s €550 million offering.
- Advising BNP Paribas, Crédit Industriel et Commercial S.A., Société Générale and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in connection with Derichebourg SA's US$300 million green high yield bonds offering.
- Advising LBO France in connection with the acquisition by Dutscher group of a Danish group.
- Advising Cinq-Huitièmes and the other entities of the Eden Park group in connection with the restructuring of the liabilities of the group towards the pool of banks (seven banks, including HSBC, Société Générale, BNP Paribas, Rothschild, Martin Maurel, Crédit Agricole, CIC and BPIfrance) through mandat ad hoc and subsequent conciliation proceedings (pre-insolvency proceedings).
- Advising BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Natixis, Nordea Bank Abp and Société Générale in connection with Consolis Group S.A.S.’s €300 million offering.
- Advising EQT Infrastructure, a Swedish private equity fund, on the financing of the €1.5 billion acquisition of SAUR, a major player in the French water industry.
- Advising Meridiam, a French private equity fund, on the financing of the acquisition of Allego, a leading independent European Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solution provider.
- Advising Akiem's group advisor in the context of the general refinancing, in a total amount of €2 billion of its debt and the implementation of a "plug and play" type financing platform.
- Advising DIF Infrastructure's advisor in the context of the selling of a portfolio composed of 29 photovoltaic power station companies to Tenergie.
- Advising Florac Investissements' advisor in the context of the acquisition of Brico Privé group.
- Advising a European banks consortium as lead arranger on the financing of the acquisition by Total Eren of Novenergia.
- Advising BNP Paribas, HSBC, Crédit Agricole, ING, Société Générale and UniCredit as initial purchasers on CMA CGM's €500 million 5.250% senior notes due 2025.
- Advising Nomura as lead arranger on a €1 billion-equivalent financing backing Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec's (CDPQ) acquisition of a significant minority stake in French medical diagnostics company Sebia.
- Advising Interoute Finco on its new €640 million term loan facility agreement.
- Advising BECM in connection with the €100 million refinancing of Gecina, a real estate listed company.
