Georgia Mateer is an associate in our Energy & Natural Resources Group. Georgia has experience advising on corporate transactions for clients operating in the energy and natural resources sector. Her experience includes managing legal due diligence and advising domestic and international clients on a range of commercial and corporate matters, such as corporate structuring and re-structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raisings.

  • Assisting an ASX-listed natural gas exploration company on its capital raise of AU$71 million, consisting of a two-tranche placement to new and existing institutional shareholders, a convertible note issue and a share purchase plan.
  • Assisting Australian lithium and renewable energy company Controlled Thermal Resources on the successful re-domiciliation of its corporate group to the US via a “top-hat” scheme of arrangement.
  • Assisting the vendor, an organic dry goods business, in a sale and purchase of its inventory and intellectual property assets.
  • Assisting with cross-border legal due diligence for a range of acquisitions.
  • Assisting with reviewing and preparing commercial agreements and deeds, drafting ASX announcements, and undertaking company secretarial duties, including preparing company resolutions and director appointments and resignations.
