Kim McGrath is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group based in the London office.

Kim undertakes a wide variety of real estate work, including corporate acquisitions and disposals of property, assisting on property aspects of corporate transactions, real estate finance matters, investment and development transactions and landlord and tenant matters, with her principal experience lying within commercial asset management. She has expertise within asset management real estate work for garden centres, garden nurseries and garden centre retail concessionaires, as well as specialises in advising large portfolio landlords on all aspects relating to commercial leasing. For a large UK-wide garden centre provider, Kim acted on its substantial portfolio for several years, including assisting on its large portfolio disposal.

Kim has experience working in a wide range of sectors, including retail, leisure, manufacturing and offices.

Kim also acts for Live Nation (including Ticketmaster, Academy Music Group and Cream Global) on its real estate requirements from acquisition of large festival sites to offices and storage premises, along with advising on its leasing requirements of smaller music venues and storage facilities.

  • Assisted on the acquisition of a circa £7.5 million leasehold interest in 85,000sq ft of sustainably restored office space in London.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team to assist in the refinancing of a £17.5 million multi-use building comprising restaurant retail and office space.
  • Acting on the £8.25 million acquisition of a substantial festival site.
  • Acting on behalf of a developer client on the acquisition of a freehold site for £1.25 million with a view for residential and retail development with a development value of circa £7 million.
  • Leading a review project to prepare a client for a full-scale portfolio sale, handling due diligence requests and reporting.
  • Acting for a well-known “quick service” restaurant chain in respect of the acquisition of a long leasehold property for approximately €1.9 million.
  • Acting for a well-known “quick service” restaurant chain in respect of its franchising work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Acting for several clients regarding their garden centre portfolios.
