Manuel Mingot is a partner in the Financial Services team and leads the banking and finance team in the Madrid office. Manuel advises lenders, borrowers and financial sponsors on a wide range of senior debt and mezzanine financing transactions at both local and cross-border levels. He has vast experience acting for banks, private equity (PE) houses and debt funds on leveraged financing, corporate lending and private credit, syndicated and single-bank facilities, debt restructuring and refinancing, and commercial real estate finance. In the energy sector, Manuel is recognised as an experienced project finance practitioner representing lenders, borrowers and sponsors in the project financing of power plants from renewable energy sources on a variety of senior debt, project bond, mezzanine, unitranche and holdco structures. He is active in advising on receivables and invoice financings, structured trade finance and export-related transactions. His practice also covers advising issuers and investors on the issue, underwriting and placement of notes and debt instruments, including regulatory and financial derivatives advice. Manuel has ample experience advising on the sale and purchase of secured and unsecured non-performing loan (NPL) portfolios, loan-to-own and distress debt structures.
