Manuel Mingot is a partner in the Financial Services team and leads the banking and finance team in the Madrid office. Manuel advises lenders, borrowers and sponsors on a wide range of financing transactions at both local and cross-border levels. He has vast experience acting for banks, alternative lenders, private equity houses, sponsors and debt funds on leveraged finance, corporate lending, syndicated and bilateral facilities, and commercial real estate finance. As a debt restructuring practitioner, Manuel has advised on some of the most prominent debt restructuring and complex refinancing mandates in the Spanish market. In the energy sector, Manuel has an established reputation as an experienced project finance adviser and is a usual choice for lenders, borrowers and sponsors in the project financing of power plants from renewable energy sources on a variety of senior debt, project bond, mezzanine, unitranche and holdco structures. In the international trade space, Manuel is active advising on a wide range of receivables financings, structured trade finance and export-related financing transactions, often with a cross-border element. His practice also covers advising issuers and investors on the issue, underwriting and placement of notes and debt instruments, including regulatory and financial derivatives advice.
