Ramez Moussa is a partner in our Labour & Employment team and is based in our Birmingham office. He trained and qualified as a solicitor with the firm in 2001.

    Ramez advises a diverse range of clients on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, with particular expertise in corporate restructurings, outsourcing/TUPE (commonly involving an international dimension), business recovery/insolvency situations and maternity/family friendly rights. He also has specialist experience advising the aerospace and defence sector on the employment issues arising from the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations. On the contentious side, he has significant experience advising on complex and high value, multi-respondent discrimination claims.

    Ramez is also a regular speaker at our national programme of employment seminars and briefings, and frequently delivers bespoke training to clients on a wide variety of topics.

    • Advising the subsidiary of a global supplier of product technology/engineering solutions on the offshoring of primary production lines from the UK to Beijing.
    • Advising a UK distributor of alcoholic beverages on the restructuring and subsequent sale of its herbal liqueur business to a German privately held corporation.
    • Advising a global supplier of aerospace and defence products on a claim of discrimination arising from the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), currently the only reported UK case on this subject area.
    • Advising a leading automotive supplier of car parts on an IT outsourcing project across a large number of jurisdictions in Europe and the US, including advice on trade union and European Works Council issues.
    • Advising a global technical assurance consultancy on the cross-jurisdictional and employee relations issues arising from the establishment of a European public limited liability company.
    • Representing a global banking and FTSE 100 company on a multi-respondent race discrimination claim.
    • Advising a variety of clients on the successful implementation of salary sacrifice schemes and other changes to maternity pay schemes/flexible benefit packages and terms and conditions of employment.
    • Providing five days of employment law training, with particular emphasis on discrimination and diversity, to the IT arm of one of the UK’s leading financial institutions.
