Katie Norris is an associate in the Commercial Litigation team, based in the Birmingham office. She qualified in September 2024, after training with the firm. Katie advises a variety of businesses on a range of litigious matters and also has experience in various methods of alternative dispute resolution procedures, including mediation.

  • Assisting with a mediation for a medical equipment company that achieved a seven-figure settlement of the dispute, representing a total recovery of loss and costs for the client.
  • Acting for a Hungarian manufacturing company in concurrent arbitration and court proceedings in relation to an alleged breach of contract valued at circa US$3.5 million.
  • Acting for trustees of a small self-administered scheme (SSAS) pension scheme in a claim arising from a long-running dispute concerning the benefit entitlement of another trustee/beneficiary.
  • Advising a client on enforcing restrictive covenants in a former employee’s contract following potential breaches of confidentiality and noncompete provisions.
  • Involvement in a large-scale litigation project involving the renewal of hundreds of telecommunications leases/licences nationally.
