Lenka Nová’s primary practice focus is real estate.

    Lenka's real estate practice focuses primarily on assisting clients with asset management, regularly representing both property owners and tenants in negotiating leases of office, retail and production space.

    Lenka has extensive experience in assisting clients with planning and permitting issues, as well as negotiating contracts related to real estate development. Her practice also includes representation of sellers, buyers and financing institutions in real estate transactions.

    As a student, Lenka was awarded a scholarship for one semester at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

    Real Estate

    • Providing complex legal support to an owner of a shopping mall with approx. 200 retail units in connection with leasing, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
    • Providing complex legal support to an owner of a multi-purpose building in Prague in connection with leasing of retail and office units, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
    • Representing a Chinese automotive company in negotiation of a build-to-suit lease of a 15,000 sqm production plant.
    • Advising an international IT company in negotiation of lease of a 4,300 sqm office space in Brno.
    • Representing a major Czech developer in multiple disputes with public authorities over development of a controversial residential building in the historical center of a major Czech city, including administrative and court proceedings in relation to invalidating of the municipal zoning plan, contesting of decisions of regional and national heritage protection authorities and municipal building authorities.
    • Representing a major Czech developer in dispute over validity of a co-operation agreement with municipality in connection with development of a shopping mall in the historical center of a Czech statutory city.
    • Representing a Czech municipal agency in negotiation of an agreement on operation and maintenance of a major road tunnel complex.
    • Representing an investor in acquisition of a logistic center in the Czech Republic.
    • Representing an investor in acquisition of an 8,000 sqm office building in Prague.
    • Real Estate due diligence review in connection with an acquisition of a group of more than 30 solar power plants.
    • Member of a team representing the Czech Republic in an investor state arbitration concerning real estate development project.

    Other

    • Providing advice to data controllers with respect to processing of personal data in the Czech Republic, mainly in connection with sharing of personal data between foreign companies and their Czech affiliates.
    • Drafting contractual documentation for implementation of software and related technical support for a governmental body.
    • Advising on various trademark issues.
    • Advising a multinational company in a dispute concerning trade secret misappropriation.
    • Providing counsel to an international client in multiple litigations concerning protection of its rights as a shareholder in a Czech company, including enforcement of foreign court decisions.
    • Assisting an operator of an exchange office with designing and implementation of measures necessary to comply with Czech anti-money laundering regulations.
    • Advising on implementation of a state environmental program.
