Leah O’Connell is an associate in the Real Estate team based in our Perth office specialising in commercial property law and liquor licensing.

    Leah has experience in a variety of property matters and liquor licensing.

    Since joining the Real Estate team, Leah has assisted clients such as Brookfield Properties and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority with commercial and retail leasing arrangements.

    Leah has also assisted a number of clients with their commercial and residential property ventures, including undertaking property due diligence and assisting Far East Consortium with the Perth Hub One apartment development in Perth.

    Leah has also assisted a number of clients with liquor licence applications, including the Ritz Carlton Perth, the Ibis Styles Perth and a number of liquor store and tavern liquor licences for larger supermarket and hospitality chains.

    • Acting for Brookfield in relation to the leasing of office and retail tenancies at several Perth locations, including 108 St Georges Terrace, EY 11 Mounts Bay Road and Bishops See.
    • Acting for Far East Consortium on the contracting and strata titling of Perth Hub, a Perth City Link mixed-use development, including the administration of sale contracts and deposits.
    • Acting for the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority on the leasing and liquor licensing at Yagan Square.
    • Acting for Far East Consortium on the leasing of the retail at the Towers at Elizabeth Quay, including assisting with the preparation of retail leases.
    • Acting for Racing and Wagering Western Australia on the leasing of retail premises for TAB outlets.
    • Acting for Far East Consortium on the Ritz Hotel liquor licence application for the Towers at Elizabeth Quay.
    • Advising and preparing the liquor licence application for the Ibis Styles Perth.
    • Acting for ALH Group on various liquor licensing matters for venues around Perth.
    • Acting for Brookfield by preparing due diligence reports on existing assets for site re-financing.
    • Assisted a large supermarket chain in relation to liquor licence applications in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
    • Acting for Alceon, a mezzanine financier, on the discharge of securities.
    • Acting for Woolworths on the sale of property in the Northern Territory.
    • Acting for Georgiou Developments on the acquisition and disposal of land, including undertaking due diligence enquiries.
