She has experience working on various aspects of environmental, safety and health law, including environmental regulations and due diligence, sustainability and product compliance advice (e.g., in relation to substantiating “green claims”) and infrastructure matters. Francesca’s experience spans different sectors including chemicals (in particular EU and UK REACH and CLP), food and drinks, automotive, plastics and other areas of manufacturing. She helps deliver standalone regulatory compliance advice to businesses and is also experienced in advising on the environmental, safety and health, bribery and corruption and modern slavery aspects of corporate transactions. She has some experience of environmental High Court litigation.
Francesca also provides training to clients and other organisations, for example on food law requirements and on topical areas of environmental law such as “greenwashing,” as well as regulatory divergence between the UK and the EU on areas like labelling.
Francesca qualified in September 2022 after completing a two-year training contract with the firm. She sits on the firm’s inclusion and diversity resource groups and junior lawyer “Grow Your Network” committee, and has volunteered as a mentor through university schemes.
Outside the office, Francesca engages with local industry group events and is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA).
