Jessica Rauskolb is a senior associate in the Litigation Practice based in the Böblingen office. She is a multilingual Attorney at Law, admitted to practice in Germany and New York/New Jersey, who advises national and international clients on a broad variety of commercial and corporate matters.

Prior to joining our firm in May 2019, Jessica gained multiple years of experience as an associate in a New York City law firm, where she represented and advised US and international clients from the automotive sector in complex civil litigation matters, with a focus on eDiscovery and domestic and international data protection/privacy laws.

  • Managing eDiscovery processes, collections, reviews and productions.
  • Assisting in the development of document retention policies.
  • Advising clients and local counsel regarding international discovery conflicts in practice and preparing documents on issues pertaining to The Convention on the Taking on Evidence Abroad in Civil or Commercial Matters (The Hague Evidence Convention), as well as the Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters (The Hague Service Convention).
  • Assisting internationally recognized German and US experts on privacy and data protection law in the preparation of affidavits pertaining to the applicability of German/European data protection law and its conflicts with the cross-border transfer and discovery of personal information belonging to European data subjects.
  • Conducting internal investigations.
  • Preparing data breach notifications to data protection authorities.
  • Coordinating multi-jurisdictional data breach responses of and obligations for affected companies.
  • Conducting due diligence reviews in the IT and data protection context.
