Anushkay Raza is an associate in the Corporate Practice group based in our Cleveland office. She advises public and private clients on a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and other commercial transactions. Additionally, she has experience working on various pro bono matters at the firm, including for the LeBron James Family Foundation, alongside aiding in commercial work for NBA star LeBron James regarding his sports, entertainment and other business and charitable endeavors.

Anushkay graduated magna cum laude from Cleveland State University College of Law, where she distinguished herself as a leader and scholar. She served as the editor-in-chief of the Global Business Law Review and vice president of the Women’s Law Students Association. She consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning a place on the Dean’s List every semester and being selected as a Dean’s Leadership Fellow. Her exceptional work in the Transactional Clinic also earned her the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.

Anushkay brings a global perspective to her practice, having worked as a legal clerk at a global manufacturing company based in Cleveland, and as a legal intern at a global law firm in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She also volunteered at the Legal Information Clinic in Montreal, Quebec.

Anushkay’s experience includes assisting in the following key transactions:

  • Assisting Nationwide in its US$1.25 billion acquisition of Allstate’s employer stop loss business segment.
  • Representing Ashland Inc. in the sale of its Avoca business.
  • Assisting Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc., in its acquisition of iJoin.
  • Assisting Valvoline, Inc., in its acquisition of a mobile repair company.
  • Representing Marshall Investigative Group, LLC in the sale of its investigative services business.
  • Assisting various clients with debt financing deals.
