David is a director dealing exclusively in labor and employment law. He advises a wide range of corporate clients on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law to clients across a variety of sectors including media and advertising, sport and financial services. David is also a regular speaker in the Squire Patton Boggs seminar and workshop programme and frequently contributes to the Squire Patton Boggs employment law blog.
David’s day to day practice involves providing support to in-house counsel and HR professionals with a wide variety of issues including difficult disciplinary and grievance issues; the planning and implementation of redundancy programmes; executive recruitment and severances; and managing long-term ill-health and capability in the workplace. In addition, David has experience in dealing with contentious litigation within both the Employment Tribunals and the High Court.
David also works as part of cross-department teams advising on the employment-related issues associated with mergers, acquisitions and changes of service provider including the practical aspects of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE). This includes advising on cross-border transfers, ETO dismissals and the effects of administration on TUPE.
David is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
