Paulina Rodríguez de León is an associate in the International Dispute Resolution Practice based in the Paris office. She specialises in international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration. Her practice focuses on international disputes related to construction projects, infrastructure, as well as service contracts in Latin America.

Paulina has participated in arbitrations under various rules, including ICSID, CCI, UNCITRAL and ICDR.

Prior joining to the firm, Paulina worked in Paris, Washington DC and Guatemala. Upon being admitted to practice law in Guatemala, Paulina worked for five years as an associate in a law firm representing Guatemalan and foreign clients in civil, commercial and constitutional court proceedings as well as commercial arbitrations.

  • Representing the Republic of Peru in Metro de Lima Línea 2, S.A. v. Republic of Peru (ICSID Cases No. ARB/17/3, ARB/21/41 and ARB 21/57), a trilogy of arbitrations arising from the concession agreement for the construction of Line 2 of the Lima Metro, one of the most emblematic transportation projects currently underway in Latin America.
  • Representing the Republic of Peru in TV Azteca S.A.B de C.V. and Azteca Comunicaciones Perú S.A.C. v. Republic of Peru (ICSID Case No. ARB/23/37), a telecommunications sector dispute arising from the Mexico-Peru Free Trade Agreement and a concession contract to roll out a nationwide telecommunications network in Peru.
  • Representing a German company in a commercial arbitration regarding breach of a distribution contract under ICDR rules, seated in Miami.
  • Represented a Spanish consortium in two parallel ad hoc arbitrations under UNCITRAL rules regarding a construction project in Guatemala.
  • Represented an American technology service provider in a commercial arbitration regarding a breach of contract in the banking sector.
  • Represented an energy company in a commercial arbitration regarding a breach of a turnkey agreement.
  • Represented a Salvadorian company in a commercial arbitration for breach of contract related to the hotel industry.
  • Represented a financial institution in a commercial arbitration in relation to a termination of a trust agreement.
  • Represented a Guatemalan bank in a commercial arbitration regarding the breach of bonds issues by a Guatemalan state bank.
