Rick Stilgenbauer is a public policy advisor based in Phoenix, who serves as an extension of our Public Policy Practice in Washington DC. He leverages his substantial experience in government relations to help clients understand and navigate the US government and advocate policy objectives.

    Rick is a dedicated public servant, with more than 15 years of experience in government relations. He has cultivated thousands of professional relationships with government officials at the local, state, federal and international levels. His expertise focuses on leveraging professional relationships to identify opportunities for federal engagement through creative solutions. These solutions range from direct public policy to establishing community-run support organizations.

    Most recently, Rick served as Director of Arizona Operations and Outreach for US Senator John McCain. In this role, he served as Sen. McCain’s “boots on the ground,” developing the Senator’s state legislative priorities. He also acted as a liaison between the Senator’s congressional office and the campaign offices.

    Prior to his work with Sen. McCain, Rick served in the office of Federal Relations for the University of Arizona and as a staffer in the US House of Representatives
