Ben Shore is a senior associate in the Financial Services Practice in the Manchester office.

Ben’s main areas of expertise are in real estate finance and general lending, although he also has experience in fund financing, debt listings and asset finance. Ben acts for both borrowers and lenders.

Prior to joining the firm, Ben worked in the banking and finance team of a major offshore law firm in its Guernsey office and, before that, he trained in the London office of another US law firm.

  • Acting for a major international bank lending approximately £385 million to a complex multijurisdictional structure comprising different types of legal entity.
  • Acting for a major Australian bank in respect of an AU$2 billion capital call facility to a Guernsey regulated fund.
  • Acting for the Luxembourg subsidiary of a Greek listed company with its €100 million debt listing.
  • Acting for a consortium of lenders with respect to the approximately £1 billion acquisition financing of a listed Guernsey entity.
  • Acting for the lender in respect of the financing of a portfolio of companies that own and operate care homes in the UK.
  • Acting for Cera Care Limited in respect of a £50 million acquisition finance facility from a US direct lender to be used to acquire companies in the domiciliary care sector and on its subsequent acquisition of Mears Care, Gem Care, Premier Care and HomeCare 4U and the subsequent £180 million refinance of that facility.
  • Advised ClearCourse Partnership AcquireCo Limited in connection with a £50 million acquisition finance facility from Sixth Street Specialty Lending to acquire companies in the payments processing sector and its subsequent refinance incorporating a facility increase to £70 million.
  • Acting for the lender in respect of the provision of funding for the development of land for residential housing in England.
