Fred Summer is a corporate and commercial finance lawyer who focuses his practice on debt and equity finance transactions and related regulatory matters. Fred’s transactional practice includes public offerings and private placements of a wide variety of debt, equity and hybrid securities, as well as secured senior and subordinated debt financings. In addition, he has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, including acquisition financing, and asset securitization.

Fred is also actively involved in various securities regulatory matters including 1934 Act compliance, broker-dealer regulation, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Fred is frequently involved in transactions with regulatory implications. For example, he recently led several financing and strategic transactions affected by the Volcker Rule and regulatory capital and liquidity rules.
