Neil is a partner in our Real Estate practice. He has wide experience of all aspects of commercial property matters in a variety of sectors, with particular expertise in commercial and residential development.

Neil acts for a number of our key clients in relation to their strategic land requirements and has experience of working for private developers on housing schemes which have an affordable housing element, while also acting for housing associations in connection with their land acquisitions.

  • Acting for a housing association on the acquisition from private developers of Section 106 housing for social rented accommodation.
  • Advising a national plc housebuilder for numerous years in relation to site acquisitions and ongoing strategic development. This has included a recent joint venture arrangement to develop 2,000 new homes on seven sites within the UK market.
  • Advising owner managed private developers on land acquisitions and site development for residential use.
  • Acting for a major warehouse developer on the acquisition of a former industrial site and the subsequent development and letting to Tesco Stores Limited of a new 500,000 square foot chilled food distribution centre in the North West. Neil also acted on the subsequent sale of the investment to Legal & General Pension Fund.
  • Acting for a private developer in relation to the acquisition and development of sites in the West Midlands and North Wales for primary care purposes.
