Fabrizio Vismara is a partner in the Litigation and Tax Strategy & Benefits Practice in our Milan office.
An experienced litigator and professor of international law, Fabrizio represents Italian and international clients on domestic and cross-border litigations in civil, commercial, corporate and tax matters.
Fabrizio focuses his practice on assisting clients before Italian courts in an extensive range of lawsuits, including proceedings before courts of first instance, courts of appeal and tax courts.
Fabrizio represents clients in ordinary civil proceedings, ex parte proceedings and applications for judicial interim measures.
Fabrizio assists clients in complex and multiparty disputes, involving private entities, multinationals and public authorities.
His activity includes out of court settlement procedures, mediation and arbitration.
Fabrizio’s litigation expertise includes assistance of clients before the Italian Supreme Court.
He also has extensive experience in customs law and trade law litigation.
Fabrizio is a Professor of International Law at the University of Insubria.

- Advised foreign banks on the regulatory and EU law issues arising from their carrying on banking and financial activities in Italy.
- Advised Italian companies and groups on tax issues related to M&A transactions and company reorganisations.
- Advised Italian associations of customs brokers on implementing tax and customs guidelines and best practices.
- Advised major Italian banks on commercial litigation, including the termination of loan agreements and the infringement of debt restructuring agreements.
- Advised major Italian banks on filing petitions for the opening of bankruptcy procedures.
- Assisted a major Italian energy supplier company in court litigation regarding the infringement of a supply and subcontract agreement and action in tort.
- Assisted a logistics and transport group in connection with M&A transactions including foreign targets.
- Assisted a foreign sovereign fund in a number of commercial and financial litigations before Italian courts
