Masi Zaki is an of counsel in the Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group.

    Masi is a restructuring, insolvency and dispute resolution lawyer with experience in superior and appellate court litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes. He has also acted in advisory and transactional capacities in the corporate restructuring and distressed M&A space, across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, mining and resources, and property and projects.

    • Advising and representing a secured syndicate in respect of a US$4 billion restructure of secured and non-secured facilities for a major mining and resources entity.
    • Advising and representing the directors and officers of a major ASX listed entity in respect of its restructure by way of scheme of company arrangement and related transactions.
    • Advising and representing the liquidators of a major financial services entity in respect of claims against former company auditors and directors for negligence, breach of duty and misleading and deceptive conduct.
    • Advising and representing a US based private equity firm in respect of its exposures to a major Australian financial services entity’s administration and subsequent liquidation and in consequent multijurisdictional litigation.
    • Advising and representing a provincial government entity in respect of its privatisation of significant energy sector assets and their restructuring.
