Join us on the final day of California International Arbitration Week, a weeklong series of complimentary virtual and in-person programs, where we will celebrate international arbitration in California by hosting two back-to-back in-person MCLE programs in our Los Angeles office.
On March 17 at 1:30 p.m. PT, the first program, Rethinking Document Disclosure in International Arbitration, will examine new directions in document disclosure, including how international practice is evolving past the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence and adopting a more rigorous and stringent approach to the management of document production.
The second program, Never Would I Ever … Overcoming Resistance to Innovation in International Arbitration, commences at 3:10 p.m. PT and will explore some proposed innovations in international (and domestic) commercial arbitration that aim to increase speed, efficiency and access to justice while lowering costs.
Expert panelists will present three proposed innovations, discuss their advantages and anticipated objections, and propose possible paths forward to adoption. This event is hosted by the California Lawyers Association (CLA) and California Arbitration (CalArb) with special thanks to the CLA Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee’s International Arbitration and ADR subcommittee, the CLA Litigation Section. The CLA International Law and Immigration Section is a co-sponsor.
Registration is now available, with each session offering 1.25 MCLE credit hours.
