The Pension Schemes Act 2026 received royal assent on 29 April 2026. It took less than a year from its first reading in the House of Commons, to becoming an act of Parliament. While the act covers a diverse variety of topics (from the Local Government Pension Scheme to a remedy for the fallout from the Virgin Media case), it mainly constitutes a framework that grants powers to make regulations.
