Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that F. Reid Avett has joined the firm as a partner in its global Corporate Practice in Washington, DC.
Mr. Avett advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters, including capital markets transactions, corporate governance, securities law compliance and reporting, shareholder matters, mergers and acquisitions, and stock exchange listing requirements. A licensed CPA, he began his career in the M&A group at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) before building a sophisticated corporate practice advising public and private companies, boards of directors and management teams on strategic transactions, governance matters, securities law compliance, shareholder engagement and activism, and other complex corporate matters. He has extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in capital markets transactions, as well as counseling public companies on disclosure, reporting and board oversight matters. He joins from another international law firm.

Mr. Avett earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.S. in Business Administration and M. Acct. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
