Squire Patton Boggs has advised sovereign-wealth fund Arab Invest on the acquisition of a 15% stake representing US$ 37.5 million in regional healthcare operator AKDITAL KSA, through a partnership with AKDITAL Group and private equity firm Mediterrania Capital Partners (MCP).
Headquartered in Morocco and listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, AKDITAL Group is one of North Africa’s leading healthcare operators. The partnership aims to support AKDITAL’s regional expansion, investing in high-quality healthcare facilities and assets in Arab countries where demand for advanced healthcare services is growing.
The investment aligns with Arab Invest’s strategy to pursue high-quality private equity opportunities across the Arab region, particularly in healthcare, one of its strategic priority sectors.
The Squire Patton Boggs team was led by Riyadh partner Abdulaziz Al-Alami, with the assistance of senior associate Salman Kotwal and associate Faisal AlZamil.
