Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the addition of partner Lauren Briggerman to its Global Antitrust & Competition Practice in Washington, DC. She joins the firm from Miller & Chevalier Chartered, where she served as vice chair of the Litigation Department and co lead of the Cartel Investigation and Litigation practice.
Ms. Briggerman focuses her practice on civil and criminal antitrust litigation matters, including white collar criminal defense and related litigation, representing corporations and executives in complex government investigations and high stakes disputes. She brings deep experience in criminal antitrust and global cartel investigations and has defended clients in some of the most significant international cartel matters in recent years, including those involving the auto parts, air cargo, freight forwarding, and pharmaceutical industries. She also regularly represents executives in government investigations and litigation related to financial services/securities fraud, government contracts fraud, and the False Claims Act (FCA), among others.
“We are thrilled to have Lauren joining us as the newest member of our Antitrust & Competition team. Her expertise in both civil and criminal matters will be extremely valuable as antitrust enforcement remains a top priority for the current administration,” said US Antitrust & Competition Practice Leader Michael Wise. “As part of our ongoing expansion in Washington, DC, and across our global network, Lauren’s arrival further enhances our ability to serve clients across a full range of antitrust matters, including civil and criminal litigation, merger review, and client counseling. We welcome her to the firm.”
Commenting on her move, Ms. Briggerman said, “Squire Patton Boggs’ global footprint and strong reputation were key factors in my decision to join the firm. As antitrust enforcement continues to evolve in the US, I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the firm to develop innovative solutions for clients.”
Ms. Briggerman earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. from Northwestern University. She currently serves in leadership roles within the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section, including positions on the International Cartel Task Force and the Women’s Antitrust Forum.
