About Faviola

Faviola Martinez Figueroa is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group based in our London office.

Faviola specialises in contentious and noncontentious construction law. She has extensive and varied experience in complex disputes and project advisory work on major construction projects. She advises on a broad range of contractual matters and interpreting complex construction-related agreements, including negotiating and drafting a range of standard form contracts, including JPC, RIAI and bespoke contracts. She also undertakes comprehensive contractual due diligence for significant commercial development acquisitions.

Experience

  • Advised on the €150 million acquisition of a mixed-use commercial and residential development, leading the construction workstream.*

  • Advised a bidder on the acquisition of an Irish energy-related PPP infrastructure asset, leading construction and technical due diligence.*

  • Advised on the acquisition of commercial, residential and retail property portfolios, preparing construction due diligence reports and advising on project risk.*

  • Advised on the €86.5 million sale of a hotel and the €50 million sale of a commercial building, leading the construction aspects of both transactions.*

  • Drafted and negotiated construction, maintenance, training and equipment supply agreements for a major healthcare provider.*

  • Drafted and negotiated a broad range of construction documentation, including design and construct contracts, consultancy appointments and bespoke construction agreements across Ireland and Australia.*

  • Advised on renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including EPC, O&M, grid connection and generation-related agreements.*

  • Acted in construction adjudication and defects disputes, including performance bond claims and certification-related claims.*

  • Supported a multinational data company in connection with a €12 million construction dispute.*
