Olivia Hiltbrand is a litigation associate in our Columbus office.
Olivia graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was a Michael E. Moritz scholar. During her time at Moritz, Olivia served as executive editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and competed in moot court. She also externed with the Honorable Edmund A. Sargus Jr. at the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the Honorable R. Guy Cole Jr. at the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Prior to law school, Olivia worked for nearly a decade as an award-winning TV news reporter in Ohio (Columbus and Cleveland), Rhode Island and West Virginia. Olivia remains interested in press freedom and the First Amendment. As a legal intern and summer fellow, she assisted in litigation at the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University and the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic at Yale Law School. She has also published law review articles on these topics.
As a cancer survivor, Olivia is also passionate about volunteering with Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) and the American Society of Hematology.
