About Taylor

Taylor Hamel is an associate in our Corporate Practice Group, where he represents corporate and institutional clients on matters such as merger and acquisition transactions, venture capital transactions, and institutional and private equity financing, as well as general corporate governance, commercial contracting, and developing and executing complicated strategic plans of corporate reorganizations.

Taylor rejoined the firm after serving multiple years as corporate counsel for an Arizona credit union. In that role, he provided strategic, business-focused legal counsel to executive leadership and management at the credit union and its fintech subsidiary, with a focus on managing risk and supporting each organization’s objectives. His experience includes advising on regulatory and compliance matters, supporting corporate governance initiatives, and negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial agreements, including service and technology contracts on both the provider and the client side.

Taylor earned his J.D. from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he was a member of the Arizona State Law Journal. While in law school, Taylor served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael T. Liburdi, and as an extern in private practice for a small business law firm. He received CALI awards in contracts, property and private property rights law. Additionally, Taylor has prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm assisting large corporations with internal audit functions and engagements.
