The United Kingdom announced on Monday that it would block entry to its ports by any Russian-linked vessels. In a letter sent to all UK ports, The Rt. Hon. Grant Shapps, Secretary of State for Transport, requested that ports prevent access to any ship which they have reason to believe is:
Owned, controlled, chartered or operated by any person connected with Russia
Owned, controlled, chartered or operated by Designated Persons
