Free Legal Clinic Launches to Support Businesses With EU Exit Issues

A new service has launched to provide businesses across West and North Yorkshire with free guidance on legal matters related to the UK’s exit from the EU. Delivered by Squire Patton Boggs on behalf of Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (the LEP) and York, North Yorkshire LEP, the EU Exit Legal Clinic will be open to all businesses, particularly small and medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) involved in international trade or part of international supply chains.

Specialists from Squire Patton Boggs will be available to offer one-to-one expert guidance on legal matters, covering a range of areas, such as contracts and other legal agreements, data protection, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, tax, state aid and competition, as well as other legal issues requiring specific, bespoke advice.

Roger Marsh OBE, DL, Chair of Leeds City Region Partnership (the LEP) and NP11 said: “As a LEP, we’re doing all we can to make the EU transition as smooth of possible for businesses and help them to make the most of new opportunities.

“I am delighted to work with York and North Yorkshire LEP to provide free legal information and guidance to businesses across West and North Yorkshire.
